Post-Baccalaureate Researcher

Biography

Joe is a post-baccalaureate researcher conducting work on neutron inelastic scattering cross sections with neutrons born from nuclear fusion reactions, as part of the comissioning of new DT-API neutron sources within the Nuclear Data Program. During his bachelors education, Joe worked with this program on noise minimization efforts for the GENESIS project. After graduating, Joe worked with the National Ignition Facility at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on an intermediate distance neutron time-of-flight detector, which aims to study characteristics of an igniting fusion plasma.
