Anastasia Georgiadou

Postdoctoral Scholar

Biography

Dr. Anastasia Georgiadou is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and an affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She conducts neutron inelastic scattering cross-section measurements with the GENESIS array at the Nuclear Data Group within the Nuclear Science Division. Her research interests lie in nuclear reactions involving medium-weight nuclei and aim to guide nuclear data evaluations for supporting nuclear energy and security applications. Dr. Georgiadou has significant experience in nuclear physics cross-section measurements, having published multiple articles on this topic in peer-reviewed journals and previous experience as a postdoctoral scholar at Los Alamos National Laboratory's LANSCE facility. Dr. Georgiadou received her Ph.D. from the University Paris-Saclay, France, in 2018, within the nuclear structure group of the former Nuclear Physics Institute of Orsay, known today as IJCLab.
